Juve’s Cristiano Ronaldo
spoke to Sky Italia after his side managed to beat Sampdoria by two goals to one, following a controversial VAR decision in the dying minutes.
Sampdoria’s Saponara managed to find the back of the net with a great strike, but the goal was later ruled out by VAR for offside in the sequence leading up to the goal. However, as pointed out by many, it looked like Alex Sandro got the last touch, meaning it wouldn’t be offside.
“The team did very well in this first part of the season, winning almost every game, but the season is still long, we need to stay focused and keep working. VAR? I like it because it eliminates mistakes, but in any case, it is difficult for the referee to make it work. We need to let them work,” Ronaldo said on the matter.
